Kimochi Program
Helping children recognize feelings, build relationships, and make responsible choices.
Kimochi (KEY.MO.CHEE) means “feeling” in Japanese.
Kimochis is a social–emotional learning program for young children that focuses on emotional awareness and communication.
It teaches children to:
Recognize and name emotions in themselves and others
Understand that all feelings are normal, even difficult ones
Express emotions respectfully using words instead of behavior
Develop self-control, empathy, and problem-solving skills
The program uses characters, stories, and feeling pillows to make emotions easy to understand and discuss.
Overall, Kimochis helps children build emotional intelligence and positive social skills.
